Enerpac has introduced the EMLSD Sync-Drive™ Battery-Powered Machine Skates, bringing synchronized tandem motion control to the proven E-Mover platform. Multiple E-Movers can communicate and operate as one coordinated system, simplifying complex heavy-load movements with precise positioning and controlled transport through confined industrial environments. Designed for applications where space is limited and precise load control is essential, Sync-Drive™ combines synchronized movement, advanced steering, intelligent safety functions and battery-powered operation in one scalable system.

Multiple E-Movers communicate continuously to synchronize movement, steering and safety functions, creating a coordinated system for precise heavy-load transport.

Real-time angle detection helps to maintain alignment between connected units, while advanced steering modes including zero-radius turning, carousel, crab and dual-axis steering enable precise manoeuvrability through tight production areas and restricted access routes.

Sync-Drive™ enables operators to control connected E-Movers simultaneously using a wireless remote. Complex situations and large, bulky loads can be monitored from two angles using a second remote, and single-remote operation is also possible.

Travel, steering, lifting, speed, and preset operating modes can all be managed from the intuitive interface. In complex situations, the supervisor can assist the operator using the second remote control and confirm movements. With all connected units responding as one coordinated system, operators can focus on positioning the load rather than managing individual machines.

Integrated safety logic continuously monitors load, traction, lift height and communication status. Emergency stop functions and automatic shutdown in the event of signal loss help to prevent unexpected movement and support the safe handling of operators and loads throughout the operation.

The rugged wireless remote is designed for demanding industrial conditions, featuring a durable housing, tactile joysticks and a high-visibility colour display. Clear system feedback, operating status information and responsive controls give operators the information and control needed to manage complex load movements with confidence.

Battery-powered operation delivers quiet, zero-emission load movement without power cables, generators or external power sources. This provides greater flexibility for applications including the transfer of manufactured assemblies, transformer handling and machinery relocation, particularly where access to external power is limited or emissions need to be eliminated.

Sync-Drive™ provides a scalable solution for industrial load handling. A single E-Mover can be used for individual applications, while two units can be synchronized to increase capacity and handle loads up to 800 kN (90 short tons).

This means the same platform can support different load-handling requirements without introducing a completely different operating system. As applications become more complex or load requirements increase, additional E-Movers can be synchronized to create a coordinated transport solution.

Using the same intuitive operating platform, Sync-Drive™ provides a flexible approach to moving heavy loads as application requirements change.
